The Madison school board plans to meet with a high school teacher who was fired following an argument with a student. Madison Superintendent John Sweet says Cory Heidelberger will meet with board members in a closed hearing. The Board fired Heidelberger in January because of the vulgar argument with the student.
And the Rapid City Journal knows Cory has a temper when he is mad:
A Madison high school teacher who lost his job after an argument with a student has filed an appeal in court.
Cory Heidelberger was fired by the school board in January for unprofessional conduct and poor performance.
He admitted using foul language during an exchange with the student.
AgWeek even knows Cory is mad:
Heidelberger taught for a year in Lemmon, S.D., and then traveled in Russia for a year and a half while doing graduate studies in Russian at the University of Alberta in Edmonton. He taught in Edmonton, briefly, and then moved home to teach in Madison. He was fired from that job in 2001, he says, for physically confronting a bully.
What do we know about Cory Heidelberger?
From his own words: "I love South Dakota. I refer to South Dakota as a whole as my home, as mycommunity. I refer to people all over the state, from Madison to Spearfish, Aberdeen to Pine Ridge, from Mobridge to Springfield, as my neighbors. I write first and foremost for my South Dakota neighbors and ex-pats who care about them and their home state. I write to provoke those South Dakotans in place and in spirit to ask questions and have conversations about South Dakota and about how to make our state better."
Sounds all well and good. But what does "make our state better" mean? For Cory it is simple. It means that the Red State of South Dakota is inherently awful to him. It means that his opinion is the only opinion that matters, that is legit, that is the way South Dakota or anywhere should be. He calls us neighbors. He's that neighbor that sits in his house judging you, calling the the city because he doesn't like your grass length, he's the guy who gossips about you because you have a statue of Mary in your yard. He's the neighbor who hates you because of your faith in God. He's the "neighbor" who smiles at your face but talks about you behind your back, talks down to you whenever possible and secretly hates your beliefs all while claiming to "love" South Dakota.
He hates South Dakota. He hates lower taxes, less government. He hates God. He hates anything that is opposite of the Liberal ideology. He thinks teachers should impose liberal ideology on children. He beliefs government should control your life in every aspect. He wants to control your healthcare. He wants to make your church bow to his beliefs. He wants South Dakota to become California, except we aren't talking Disneyland and beautiful beaches.
